Here’s a mix that I did for Commonwealth (cmonwealth.com).  If you’re one of those people who swear that all the hip hop on the radio is garbage, chances are this is the kind of hip hop you’re looking for.  Nothing trendy, no crunk or snap, just some good old boom bap soul music old and new.  Peace to J-Chill and Disko Dave.  Out.

  1. Lovely - Phat Kat
  2. Nic’s Groove - Foreign Exchange
  3. Gorgeous - Pacific Division
  4. Cooley High - Camp Lo
  5. Paris Tokyo - Lupe Fiasco
  6. Brown Skin Lady - Mos Def & Talib Kweli
  7. Searching - Pete Rock & CL Smooth
  8. Starship - Little Brother
  9. Won’t Do - J Dilla
  10. Climax - Slum Village
  11. Nag Champa - Common
  12. Breakadawn - De La Soul
  13. I Like It - Grand Puba
  14. Shake It - Little Brother
  15. The Love - A Tribe Called Quest
  16. Shopping Bags - De La Soul
  17. Open Your Eyes - Platinum Pied Pipers feat. Dwele
