To keep it short Dilla is one of the main reasons why i do what i do. Everyone from “backpackers,” to even people like Just Blaze, Kanye, and Pharrell all agree that Dilla was a beat god. I’m sure everyone knows his story so i’m not going to write a novel here but if you don’t know who he was just take a listen to this mix. This is definitely hip hop in its purest form. Dilla was in my opinion the greatest producer of all time and also one of the best on the mic as well. Enjoy and pay homage to Dilla. Shout out to my man Da. “Turn it Up!!”

Im late as hell on the podcast gig but damn homie we come a long way and this is definitely the hot joint. Need to come out with the 2nd hour on the DILLA joint. He was and will always be the Beat God. Also as a suggestion or a favor can you do a tribute to the Godfather of Soul. I think it would only be fair to Dilla that the master of the break beat JB get a lil love too. Or like James Brown would say Give the Drumma Some. Stay up my dude always got your back and support from Big Hill to Richmond one Love.

All I am saying is…. this mix had to get downloaded and put on a CD… I know I’m really really really (with 5 L’s) late on this one… but got damn lol.. this is by far my favorite mix… in the anniversary of Jay Dee being gone for 2 years now (can you believe it?) this is an awesome way to show that he will forever live through his music… (even though you posted this back in October… lol like I said.. I’m catching the late pass on this one)

yo nice mix j dilla is an genius his beats make people do something make people cry.. make people love thats some good shit people needs. why did he died? big question but i got 1 question for u mike rizzy. could u post the track list? of these songs most i know but some unknown i wanna since they arent on donuts nor 41 tracka’s
