Podcast #4 - Nas Mix
Posted by deejaymikerizzy on October 2nd, 2007

Once again it’s on!! Now everybody has their own opinion of who the best rapper of all time is. Of course you hear people mention Rakim, Kane, LL, Biggie, Jay, Snoop, Cube, and so on and so on. But if you ask me and everybody that knows me knows that i’m going to have to go with Nas. To me there’s just nobody that’s been on top this long and has as many classic songs as the man they call Nasty Nas. I mean the man beat Jay-Z in his prime in arguably the biggest battle in hip hop history. He’s been on the top level since Biggie and Pac were around not even Rakim enjoyed a reign that long. So for this podcast I decided to put together some hot Nas songs that weren’t singles but equally as dope if not better. This is definitely for my real hip hop heads out there who don’t do the whole “Soulja Boy” kiddie ringtone rap thing. Peace till the next one.

Damn boy, thats an ILL mix. It’s about time that someone pumps that nas shit. I hate-hate-hate-hate that soulja boi bullshit thats in the ‘hip hop’ charts now days. I agree with you boy, nas is the illest rapper out, but I’m pretty disappointed with his latest album though thats another story. It Was Written was probably, in my oppinion, one of the most creative and impressive hip hop albums to this day. I copped that one on cd and record when I was like 13 lol. I’m 20 now. Anyways, Peace God

Yeah you on point with that. Nas is the man at the top. Now I have always been a big fan of the R since the beginning (I’m sure Im wayyyy older than you, man) but Nasir keeps it just as rugged. Its cool to see some artists like Nas stick around since so many of the ones I grew up on (EPMD, Rakim, Tribe, etc) have dropped down and now we gotta keep listening do that soulja boy radio $%&#. Keep spinning it like you do…it’s cool to see some younger cats can dig what Real Hip Hop is all about.

Yo that was tight, i wasn’t big on Nas, but it’s growing on me. Illmatic was a crazy cd, also his lost tapes. Do you think you could put the song list for this, and for the biggie one to, that one was dope also. Keep it up man, oh and that wishing on a star mix was tight, u think you can put that up for download
